I first made these awesome cocktails for the holidays a few years back. Everyone loved them. And I distinctly remember that everyone liked them so much because they weren’t super heavy on the alcohol taste. There’s plenty of alcohol in these amaretto cranberry kiss cocktails, so be careful… but they taste delicious!

What is Amaretto?
From Wikipedia: Amaretto (Italian for “a little bitter”) is a sweet Italian liqueur that originated in Saronno. Depending on the brand, it may be made from apricot kernels, bitter almonds, peach stones, or almonds, all of which are natural sources of the benzaldehyde that provides the almond-like flavor of the liqueur. When served as a beverage, amaretto can be drunk by itself, used as an ingredient to create several popular mixed drinks, or added to coffee.
How do you make freshly squeezed orange juice?
This recipe does not need a lot of orange juice, so it’s easy to make fresh squeezed yourself. The easy way is to just cut an orange into wedges and squeeze each wedge into a glass or bowl to collect the juice. Or you can use a hand-juicer that will maximize the amount of juice you’re able to squeeze out of each orange.
Whether you’re having a fall party or you’d just like to serve these up for Happy Hour, I think you’ll enjoy trying these new, fabulous cocktails. Use leftover amaretto to make Amaretto Chicken, Amaretto Bundt Cake or Cherry Amaretto Pie. Enjoy!
