This simple autumn salad recipe has just five main ingredients, and it’s all tossed in a lightly sweetened vinaigrette.
Ingredients needed:
extra virgin olive oil apple cider vinegar shallots freshly squeezed lemon juice maple syrup salt and pepper red and green leaf lettuce Red Delicious apples crumbled blue cheese toasted pecans (I’ve also used toasted cashews instead of pecans for equally great results.)
How to toast pecans:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the pecans, and toss them every once in a while until they are fragrant and toasted. Remove them from a pan to a cutting board or a paper towel to cool.
