Back in my teaching days, I used to work at a Jewish elementary school. I worked there for a couple of years so I really got to know the ins and outs of the Jewish culture. Food is a big part of it! I remember that I was not allowed to bring any shellfish for lunch, and I got a loaf of challah to bring home with me every Friday. Rugelach was one of those goodies that was around quite often. I became quite fond of it.
This version of Rugelach has both raspberry jam and melted chocolate rolled up inside. It’s so good!
